Coroico, what an oasis and the first time for me to be lower than 3,000 meters in over three weeks. Cuzco, Inka trail, Lake Titicaca, Copacabana were all really high so I enjoy the thick air of the Bolivian "lowlands" and a piece of German cheesecake from the Backstube, one of the numerous places which are German-run in Coroico.
I can understand why they settled in this oasis but I do not get how they cope with all the sun flies. These bastards bit me all over and so I had to scratch myself all the way back up on the most dangerous world.
Probably this was the best things I can do since it distracted me from looking outside and down the steep dropoffs that we had passed ridiculously quickly on our bikes.
Now I am back in La Paz waiting for the adventures to come.
