I'm back in action, back on the hoof!
I recovered from the trip to South America for a very long time. I spent most of my time in Hamburg with my travel buddy Carsten. I explored the city for a while and like it. But as you know my destiny is traveling.
I left Carsten today with Air Mail. They don't offer much leg room in their envelope class. I am on my way to my new travel buddy Kay in North Carolina, USA who contacted me through the travel pig exchange. Eeeyoink, great to be back in business!
Must sees in Hamburg:
- The Reeperbahn by night. It's Hamburg's red light but also entertainment district with good restaurants and theaters (not just those ones with only two people on the stage ...).
- The harbor: It's huge. You can go on a tourist cruise for an insight tour. But I also have a great budget alternative: Go to Landungsbruecken, buy a bus ticket (2,30 Euro) and get on the ferry boats to Teufelsbrueck. You can get off at the Elbe beach, a great place to party and barbecue with locals. Loads of people are there in summer to enjoy the magnificient view of the busy harbor at night.
That's just two must-sees. And there are so much more. But I have to leave now. Toodaloo, Carsten, Hello Kay! |
