Hi again!

Two more things about Erlangen: First of all it's located about 20 kilometers northwest of Nürnberg, just in case you were wondering where we are. And second, some people say that its population consists of 50,000 university students and 50,000 so-called "Siemensianer" (that is people working for Siemens) ... That's certainly an exaggeration but it is true that Erlangen is one of the company's major locations and that Siemens is the main employer in town.

After taking a look at the front of the Schloss, we went into the "Schlossgarten" (which is right behind it) and enjoyed the late afternoon sunshine for a little while. Of course I had to have my picture taken! Behind me and that strange looking fountain you can see the "Orangerie". Erlangen is also supposed to have a really great botanical garden but we were too late that day to check it out. But maybe I'll be back here sooner than I think!?
